CBA offers four divisions to choose from during the school year along with a variety of summer programs. To register or to learn more, please visit the division you are interested in:

Preparatory Division
Designed for our youngest dancers, ages 2-5, the Preparatory Division classes offer an introduction to movement and seek to nurture a love for dance. With an emphasis on developing motor skills, coordination and musicality, they are the perfect building blocks towards more formal study. Classes are held in 6 or 7-week sessions throughout the school year. Enrollment at the start of a session is strongly encouraged but students may enroll at any time.

This division is designed for the dancer, ages 5-18, who would like to commit to the serious study of ballet. While this division does not require an audition*, the levels are progressive and students will be moved up when they have achieved understanding and proper execution of the physical technique necessary to safely do so. Students in this division are expected to take their level's entire schedule, but may also supplement with modern classes. The Pre-Professional Division is held over two semesters and culminates in the Annual Concert performance**. It is strongly recommended that students attend both semesters, both for Concert eligibility and technical progression.

The Adult Division offers ballet classes for ages 18 and up on a drop-in basis. This division also features a Winter Workshop and Summer Intensive specifically designed for the Advanced Beginner/Intermediate level adult dancer. In the fall of 2022, CBA launched a new Adult Performance Ensemble, which will continue to be offered each fall and perform in the Winter Showcase. Small group privates are available for those interested in pursuing pointe work.

* While no audition is necessary, new and transferring students interested in the Pre-Professional Program will be asked to take a class to determine the appropriate placement level. Final class placement decisions are made by the Director. Please contact us to arrange a placement class. Though beginning at the start of a semester or session is strongly encouraged, students may join mid-semester/session.
** Only students enrolled in both semesters and demonstrating consistent attendance are eligible to participate in the Annual Concert performance.

TUITION
Tuition is due two weeks prior to the start of each semester, session, or program (unless otherwise noted) and is nonrefundable.
Families may request payment plans. Need-based scholarships are available. Please email us for details regarding either option.
Scholarship support has been made possible in part by a generous gi made by Patti Eylar and Charles Gardner and Jim and Linda Mitchell.
