Organizational Mission - Chicago Ballet Arts
To provide a structured, affordable ballet program with professional standards for our ethnically and economically diverse community youth. In the process, Chicago Ballet Arts strives to instill in its students a love of dance, a respect for the classical disciplines necessary for a performing art, and a capacity for excellence. Through our family concerts and open studio policy, we hope to encourage parental and community involvement in the efforts of our students so that their success can be viewed as part of the permanent fabric of family and community life, and can stand as an open example of the relationship between rigor and achievement.

Geographic Service Area
City of Chicago/Cook County. Area served is roughly bordered by Diversey Avenue on the south, Howard Street on the north, and Harlem Avenue on the west. Neighborhoods served include Rogers Park, West Rogers Park, Albany Park, Peterson Park, Edgewater, Edgebrook, Northtown, Uptown, Ravenswood, Andersonville, Sauganash, Jefferson Park, Portage Park, and all surrounding neighborhoods. Many students travel to CBA from west of the Kennedy Expressway, from the inner city, and some come from the south and far west sides as well. CBA has students from the suburbs of Evanston, Glencoe, Glenview, Park Ridge, DesPlaines, Arlington Heights, Wheeling, Skokie, and Wilmette.

Race/Ethnicity
Due to its proximity to port of entry immigrant communities, CBA serves students of the following ethnicity/race/cultural backgrounds: Hispanic/Latino, Filipino, Russian, Indian, Pakistani, African American, Polish, Asian American, Eastern European, Irish, Turkish, Peruvian, Egyptian, Greek, and Caucasian American. We are known as the little U.N.
